Deck overview

This deck is a Gruul artifact-token and stompy midrange strategy commanded by Aerid Konstrari. The game plan revolves around rapidly generating artifact tokens—including Heartwood tokens, Treasures, and Powerstones—to fuel explosive mana scaling and power buffs. Early turns focus on establishing mana velocity through low-cost utility artifacts and landfall triggers before deploying Aerid on Turn 4. Once assembled, token doublers like Parallel Lives and Doubling Season rapidly multiply the artifact count. In the mid-to-late game, the deck converts token quantity into lethal damage using game-ending overruns like Craterclaw Colossus and Depthshaker Titan, direct burn through Chandra's Ignition and Crackle with Power, or pingers like Reckless Fireweaver and Ingenious Artillerist. The deck features resilient one-turn commander recovery thanks to Aerid's death trigger, paired with efficient protection spells like Deflecting Swat and Heroic Intervention to defend against opposing interaction.
