Deck overview

This deck is an Abzan graveyard-centric midrange deck commanded by Nethroi, Apex of Death. The core game plan focuses on filling the graveyard with high-utility creatures through self-mill, cycling, and targeted discard, then paying Nethroi's mutate cost onto an existing non-Human creature to reanimate up to 10 total power in one explosive trigger. Reanimated creatures such as Kogla, the Titan Ape, Luminous Broodmoth, and Gemrazer establish an imposing board state that simultaneously removes opposing threats and shields against standard destruction sweepers. While the deck generates compounding card flow through recursion pieces like The Necrobloom, Conduit of Worlds, and Deadbridge Chant, it operates at a traditional battlecruiser pace, relying on three combat turns to eliminate a four-player pod. The strategy is vulnerable to well-timed spot removal targeting its mutate hosts and dedicated graveyard hate, but possesses resilient backup recovery in powerful mass reanimation spells like Eerie Ultimatum.
