Deck overview

This Izzet spellslinger deck is constructed as an exhibition showcase dedicated to Ral Zarek, incorporating every iteration of the planeswalker alongside his signature lore spells. Commanded by Ral, Monsoon Mage, the deck uses early cost reduction, low-cost mana rocks, and rituals to chain cantrips together. While it features numerous high-flavor, low-efficiency intro-pack spells, its upper-end capability is anchored by potent combo lines. The primary win condition revolves around resolving Fury Storm alongside Ral, Storm Conduit, triggering an infinite loop of copy triggers that burns the table to zero at instant speed. Backed by free protective countermagic like Fierce Guardianship and redirection via Deflecting Swat, the deck can reliably execute its primary combo around Turn 6. In alternative lines, Underworld Breach and Thousand-Year Storm turn discarded spells into massive bursts of mana and burn.
