Deck overview

This deck is an Esper Zombie tribal strategy led by Varina, Lich Queen. It focuses on curving out low-mana Zombies, casting Varina, and attacking aggressively to loot through the library while gaining life and loading the graveyard. The deck leverages this discard velocity to create large token armies via Varina, Bone Miser, and Cryptcaller Chariot, while Archfiend of Ifnir acts as a one-sided board wipe. As the Zombie horde expands, lords like Death Baron, Undead Warchief, and Necroduality boost combat damage, while aristocrat payoffs such as Corpse Knight, Diregraf Captain, and Gray Merchant of Asphodel drain opposing life totals. Although the list lacks high-speed tutors and free interaction, its dense card flow, redundant Zombie synergies, and resilient graveyard recursion make it a consistent and compounding midrange engine.
