Deck overview

This deck uses Maja, Bretagard Protector as a landfall token engine. Ramp and extra-land effects increase the number of landfall events, while cards such as Anointed Procession, Doubling Season, Parallel Lives, Mondrak, Glory Dominus, and Divine Visitation improve the output. The deck then grows the board with Cathars' Crusade, Avenger of Zendikar, or Rampaging Baloths and finishes through Craterhoof Behemoth. Its mana development is solid but not fast, and many important cards cost five or more mana. Tutors cover creatures, enchantments, and lands separately, so assembling the whole package remains inconsistent. The deck has useful protection from Flawless Maneuver, Heroic Intervention, and Teferi's Protection, but little stack interaction. Its ordinary critical state arrives around turn 8, with a turn-9 or turn-10 combat finish when the token count and payoff align. Removal and board wipes remain serious problems, especially before protection is available.
