Commander of Mutants: Illuna by mgm67

Format: Commander

Commander: Illuna, Apex of Wishes

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This deck leverages Illuna, Apex of Wishes to trigger explosive mutate chains onto durable non-Human hosts. By mutating onto hexproof or indestructible bases like Silhana Ledgewalker, Slippery Bogle, and Blor the Impervious, you cheat high-impact permanents straight onto the battlefield without risking immediate spot removal. Spell copy engines such as Ivy, Gleeful Spellthief, Vesuvan Duplimancy, and Frontline Heroism duplicate mutate triggers exponentially. You close games by overwhelming the board with massive mutate stacks, flipping game-ending bombs like Auspicious Starrix, Etali, Primal Conqueror, and Maelstrom Wanderer, and dealing lethal combat damage or Etali poison attacks.
