Skyler's Gandalf Party Guest by user6715694

Format: Commander

Commander: Gandalf, Party Guest

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Gandalf, Party Guest leads a wizard-heavy spells deck whose real endgame is the Niv-Mizzet draw-ping loop. The primary plan is to put several legendary Wizards on the battlefield so Gandalf can free-cast high-cost instants and sorceries each combat, triggering card draw, pings, and Wizard pumps. Those small effects-Archmage Emeritus, Whirlwind of Thought, Fiery Inscription, Adeliz the Cinder Wind, Balmor-are the secondary path, and Laboratory Maniac covers the deck-draw variant of the Niv loop. Niv-Mizzet, Parun is the hidden commander: the deck is built to collect Visionary plus Parun or Firemind and turn any first draw into infinite damage and card drawing. Jin-Gitaxias and Teferi, Mage of Zhalfir protect the spell-heavy game plan.
