Deck overview

This deck is an Esper Sphinx tribal midrange strategy commanded by The Ur-Sphinx. The commander provides passive eminence cost reduction from the command zone, allowing the deck to deploy large, high-utility flying Sphinxes well ahead of their normal mana curve. Early turns focus on mana rocks and defensive enchantments like Ghostly Prison to secure the board. By turn 4, key card advantage engines such as Unesh, Criosphinx Sovereign and Kindred Discovery generate massive card flow with each Sphinx cast. The deck establishes a critical must-answer board around turn 6, utilizing powerful ETB effects, token generation from Elenda and Azor, and life total reduction from Magister Sphinx. Asymmetric sweepers such as Raise the Palisade and Kindred Judgment clear opposing ground blockers, allowing evasive flying attacks to eliminate all three opponents across turns 6 to 8.
