New Ways to Live by beesk

Format: Commander

Commander: Anti-Venom, Horrifying Healer

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Anti-Venom, Horrifying Healer anchors a mono-white voltron deck built around damage redirection and equipment/aura resilience. The commander's trigger can return a key creature after early trades, but the real engine is his damage-prevention ability: paired with Pariah-style effects, damage that would hit you is instead turned into +1/+1 counters on Anti-Venom. The 99 is a durable equipment package - Buster Sword, Champion's Helm, Celestial Armor, With Great Power . . ., and Super State - supported by card draw from Sram, Senior Edificer and Puresteel Paladin, with Cloud, Midgar Mercenary acting as a hidden equipment-tutor engine. Wins come from commander damage once the suited Anti-Venom is unblockable, or from a massive Super State swing that spreads lethal damage to every opponent. Secondary paths include damage-reflection loops between Phyrexian Vindicator and Black Panther, Most Dangerous.
