Blight Curse

Format: Commander

Commander: Auntie Ool, Cursewretch

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Auntie Ool, Cursewretch leads a -1/-1 counter control-value deck. Her Ward-Blight 2 forces opponents to weaken their own creature just to target her, while her trigger draws a card each time a counter lands on one of your creatures and drains 1 life from each opponent when one lands on theirs. The 99 leans on wither, blight, and proliferate: Everlasting Torment turns every damage source into counter spread, Soul Snuffers, Skinrender, and Incremental Blight seed the board with counters, and Kulrath Knight converts that counter bed into an attack-and-block lock. Hapatra, Vizier of Poisons and Flourishing Defenses turn counters into tokens, while Necroskitter, The Reaper, King No More, and Puppeteer Clique steal whatever dies. The deck wins by grinding via commander pings, Lasting Tarfire and Grave Venerations drains, wither beats with stolen bodies, and two unsearchable counter-combo engines. This is a slow, value-dense midrange deck rather than a fast combo deck.
