Deck overview

This deck is a focused Simic +1/+1 counters aggro-midrange build commanded by Ezuri, Claw of Progress. The strategy centers on deploying low-power utility creatures and mana dorks on the opening turns to build experience counters as soon as Ezuri enters the battlefield. Once experience counters accumulate, Ezuri distributes large quantities of +1/+1 counters at the beginning of each combat. The deck converts this rapid power growth into game-ending pressure through evasive threats like Blighted Agent, Champion of Lambholt, and Cold-Eyed Selkie, which draw massive hands or deliver lethal poison damage in a few swings. Support pieces such as Hardened Scales, The Great Henge, and The Ozolith amplify counter placement and maintain board value through removal. While vulnerable to early spot removal on Ezuri and lacking stack countermagic, the deck features efficient protective instants and rapid recovery thanks to permanent player experience counters.
