Deck overview

This deck is a Rakdos typal aristocrats and burn strategy built around The Great Goblin and the amass mechanic from The Lord of the Rings. The game plan focuses on deploying the commander on curve and continuously triggering amass abilities to grow an Orc or Goblin Army token. Each time counters are placed on an Army, Goblin, or Orc, The Great Goblin deals 2 direct damage to an opponent, converting everyday creature growth into life loss. When tokens or creatures die in combat or to sacrifice outlets, the commander provides impulse card advantage to keep resources flowing. The deck closes out games through a combination of sustained burn triggers, aristocrats life drain, and evasive combat attacks enhanced with menace and trample.
