Deck overview

Thranduil, the Elvenking is a Sultai elfball combo deck that turns the graveyard into a second hand. The primary plan is to accelerate with one-mana Elves and land-tutors, cast Thranduil on turn three or four, then fill the graveyard with Entomb, Buried Alive, and Ripples of Undeath so Thranduil gains a toolbox of activated abilities. The main finish is an untap/mana loop with Deathbloom Ritualist and Staff of Domination, closed by Lathril's drain or Craterhoof Behemoth. Secondary paths include Prime Speaker Vannifar chains, Agatha's Soul Cauldron plus Devoted Druid, and a normal Elf-tribal beatdown. No double-faced commander is present; Agatha's Soul Cauldron acts as a hidden second version of the same activated-ability engine.
