Deck overview

This deck is a five-color spellslinger and combo strategy built around the Prepare mechanic, piloted by Codie, Ravenous Codex. The primary game plan focuses on deploying early green ramp to establish an engine permanent such as Codie, Displacer Kitten, or Storm-Kiln Artist by Turn 3 or 4. Once established, the deck leverages Prepare creatures that enter prepared and cast copies of powerful noncreature spells. When paired with Displacer Kitten, casting a prepare spell blinks the creature, immediately resetting its prepared status. This forms a two-card infinite loop with Blazing Firesinger // Seething Song, producing infinite red mana and unlimited spell casts. The deck converts this loop into a game win on Turn 5 by tutoring or drawing into Stensian Sanguinist // Exsanguinate to drain all opponents in a single turn. Backup win routes include Coalition Victory enabled by Leyline of the Guildpact and manual storm turns backed by protection pieces like Samut, Tyrant of Naktamun.
