Format: Commander

Commander: Doctor Doom, King of Latveria

Bracket: 2

Deck overview

Doctor Doom, King of Latveria leads a Grixis Villain-tribal strategy that turns connive triggers into a slow-burn drain. The game plan is to cast cheap Villain spells, discard lands to Doctor Doom to deal 2 damage to each opponent, and pump the Villain board with +1/+1 counters. Marchesa, the Black Rose functions as a hidden commander, providing dethrone and recursion for countered creatures. Payoffs include Glorious Purpose, All Will Be One, Psychosis Crawler, and The Squadron Sinister; Living Death and Exsanguinate give mass-reanimation and life-drain finishers. There is no infinite combo, so the deck wins through repeated connive triggers, counter-accelerated combat, and a large final drain once the board is stable.
