Commander: Xyris, the Writhing Storm

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

This is a wheel-and-swarm combo deck built to exploit every opponent draw with Xyris, the Writhing Storm. Once Xyris is on the battlefield, a single wheel effect - Wheel of Fortune, Windfall, Reforge the Soul, or Timetwister - creates 21 Snakes against a full pod and refills your hand to 7. The deck converts that swarm into a kill three ways: ETB drain via Purphoros, God of the Forge and Impact Tremors; sacrifice reach via Goblin Bombardment; and a lethal trampling/infect swing via Craterhoof Behemoth, Triumph of the Hordes, or Finale of Devastation. A parallel draw-punisher channel (Psychosis Crawler, Razorkin Needlehead, Scrawling Crawler) lets the wheels win even without the commander. The 2.69 average mana value keeps the curve explosive, with dorks, rocks, Gaea's Cradle, and Cryptolith Rite turning the snake army itself into mana - all protected by nine counterspells including four free spells.
