Deck overview

This deck is a high-power Izzet spellslinger storm list helmed by Prismari, the Inspiration, a 7-mana Elder Dragon that statically grants storm to every instant and sorcery spell cast. The early game focuses on accelerating mana through artifacts, cost-reducers like Baral, Chief of Compliance, and lands like Ancient Tomb while smoothing draws using efficient cantrips. Once the commander enters the battlefield, the deck transitions into an explosive storm engine. Casting a sequence of rituals and cantrips rapidly inflates the storm count, allowing burn spells like Flame Rift, Boltwave, and Fall of the Titans to replicate across the stack and eliminate all three opponents simultaneously. The list safeguards its high-cost commander using free interaction such as Fierce Guardianship and Deflecting Swat alongside protective equipment like Commander's Plate. It maintains high resiliency with overloaded finishers such as Mizzix's Mastery and board control via Cyclonic Rift.
