Deck overview

This deck is a Grixis midrange discard strategy commanded by Doctor Doom, King of Latveria. The deck weaponizes lands and card flow by repeatedly discarding land cards to trigger Doctor Doom's 2-life drain against each opponent. It supplements this core engine with redundant discard outlets like Psychic Frog, Trade Routes, and Seismic Assault, alongside global burn multipliers such as Magmakin Artillerist and Cool but Rude. Discarded resources are reused or recovered through recursion engines including Dakmor Salvage, Crucible of Worlds, and Shadow of the Grave. The deck controls the board with asymmetric creature suppression from Archfiend of Ifnir and reliable board wipes like Toxic Deluge. Operating on a steady midrange curve, it reliably assembles its commander on Turn 4, establishes critical board pressure on Turn 6, and burns out the entire table across 2 response cycles to close the game on Turn 8.
