Commander: Kokusho, the Evening Star

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

This mono-black aristocrats deck harnesses Kokusho, the Evening Star to drain the table while sustaining your own life total. The primary game plan revolves around casting Kokusho, sacrificing it, and repeatedly recurring it with cheap reanimation spells and undying effects like Feign Death to trigger its 5-life drain repeatedly. Damage and drain amplifiers such as Bloodletter of Aclazotz, Drivnod, Carnage Dominus, and Wound Reflection quickly turn single death triggers into lethal swings. Alternatively, the deck can assemble infinite life-loss loops using Bloodthirsty Conqueror paired with Vito, Thorn of the Dusk Rose, Enduring Tenacity, or Sanguine Bond to eliminate opponents on the spot.
