Deck overview

This deck leverages Fire Lord Azula to transform standard Grixis spellslinger mechanics into an aggressive combat-oriented engine. Azula generates two red mana and copies every spell cast while she is attacking. The deck accelerates in the opening turns with mana rocks and cost reducers like Stormcatch Mentor before deploying Azula. During combat, cheap cantrips, burn spells, and combat tricks are copied, triggering magecraft payoffs like Archmage Emeritus, Storm-Kiln Artist, and Guttersnipe. This burst of spells burns down opposing life totals while creating wide boards via Young Pyromancer and Third Path Iconoclast. With robust protection and low-cost interaction, the deck maintains tempo, disrupts opponents, and closes games rapidly through mass burn or an overloaded Mizzix's Mastery.
