Bracket: 4

Deck overview

This is a Jund aristocrats token deck helmed by the Partner-Survivors pair Joel, Resolute Survivor and Ellie, Brick Master. Ellie incentivizes multiplayer combat by creating free Cordyceps Infected tokens whenever players attack each other, while Joel turns every token death into a once-per-turn +1/+1 counter and card draw, growing into a menacing threat. The 99 floods the board with token engines (Bitterblossom, Tendershoot Dryad, Ophiomancer, Jadar, Ghoulcaller of Nephalia, Chatterfang, Squirrel General), doubles them (Parallel Lives, Doubling Season), and converts deaths into life loss via a dense suite of drain effects (Blood Artist, Zulaport Cutthroat, Bastion of Remembrance, Mirkwood Bats, The Meathook Massacre). Sac outlets (Ashnod's Altar, Phyrexian Altar, Goblin Bombardment, Yawgmoth, Thran Physician) and edict engines (Grave Pact, Dictate of Erebos) close games through mass drain or attrition. Secondary paths include combat with a pumped Joel/Korvold or value from Liliana, Dreadhorde General.
