Toph, Budget Metalbender

Format: Commander

Commander: Toph, the First Metalbender

Bracket: 2

Deck overview

This Naya landfall/artifacts-matter deck is helmed by Toph, the First Metalbender, who transforms nontoken artifacts into lands, enabling a unique synergy with the many "egg" and spellbomb artifacts. The primary game plan is to generate multiple landfall triggers each turn, fueling value from Avenger of Zendikar, Omnath, Locus of Rage, Rampaging Baloths, and others to create an overwhelming board presence. The earthbend ability animates lands as resilient creatures that return when destroyed, and extra combat from Moraug, Fury of Akoum can close games in a single turn. The deck wins through combat damage from animated lands, plant tokens, and elemental threats.
