Deck overview

This deck is a high-power Grixis midrange and reanimator strategy centered on Sauron, the Dark Lord and a suite of nine Nazgûl. The game plan accelerates mana through efficient rocks and rituals to deploy Sauron on Turn 4. Once on the battlefield, Sauron punishes opposing spells by amassing an Orc Army and uses combat connections to trigger Ring temptation. Each temptation allows the player to cycle their hand into four new cards, filling the graveyard with high-impact threats such as Archfiend of Ifnir, Terror of the Peaks, and Razaketh, the Foulblooded. The deck leverages cheap reanimation spells like Reanimate and Living Death to return these threats directly to play. Opponents face severe card-draw taxation and continuous board wipes while Sauron's oppressive Ward protects your position. The game closes around Turn 7 through lethal combat damage from massive Wraith armies, direct burn, and overwhelming graveyard reanimation.
