Deck overview

This mono-black control and aristocrats deck utilizes Vincent Valentine // Galian Beast to convert opposing creature deaths into lethal commander power. By deploying a dense suite of symmetrical sacrifice creatures like Fleshbag Marauder and Plaguecrafter, the deck continuously clears opposing boards while Vincent absorbs +1/+1 counters equal to the power of dying enemy creatures. Once sufficiently large, Vincent attacks and transforms into Galian Beast, gaining trample and lifelink to pressure life totals and recover life buffers. Supported by token generators like Ophiomancer, recursion engines like Phyrexian Reclamation, and secondary drain finishers such as Syr Konrad and Gray Merchant of Asphodel, the deck maintains total board dominance over creature-heavy tables. Its chief challenges include noncreature combo strategies and instant-speed exile removal that bypasses Galian Beast's death recursion.
