Commander: Silverquill, the Disputant

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Silverquill, the Disputant turns every instant and sorcery into a potential two-for-one, so this Orzhov deck blends spell-slinging with a classic token/aristocrats shell. Early plays like Skrelv's Hive, Ophiomancer, and Black Market Connections assemble a board of expendable bodies. The commander then makes draw spells such as Night's Whisper and Corrupted Conviction copyable, while Monastery Mentor and Sedgemoor Witch replace the sacrificed tokens. Death triggers from Zulaport Cutthroat, Elas il-Kor, Sadistic Pilgrim, and Bastion of Remembrance bleed the table, and sacrifice outlets such as Viscera Seer and Warren Soultrader convert bodies into mana, cards, and more drain triggers. The usual finish is a big Exsanguinate, Debt to the Deathless, or Death Grasp-ideally doubled by Bloodletter of Aclazotz-or a long Bolas's Citadel grind that ends via drain and life loss.
