K'rrik B5

Format: Commander

Commander: K'rrik, Son of Yawgmoth

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

This mono-black midrange deck is built entirely around K'rrik, Son of Yawgmoth, leveraging his ability to substitute life for black mana symbols to deploy massive threats, cast draw spells, and execute explosive turns ahead of schedule. The deck features significant lifegain through cards like Gifted Aetherborn, Vampire Nighthawk, and Vito, Thorn of the Dusk Rose, ensuring your life total acts as a renewable mana reservoir. Without an infinite combo, the primary win condition relies on devastating drain effects from Gray Merchant of Asphodel and Exsanguinate, backed by Sanguine Bond and Vito triggers, or commanding the board through massive beaters like Phyrexian Obliterator and Sheoldred, Whispering One.
