Deck overview

This deck is a Golgari Delirium Reanimator strategy led by Winter, Cynical Opportunist. It focuses on filling the graveyard quickly with diverse card types—including artifact lands, enchantment creatures, and planeswalkers like Grist, the Hunger Tide—to achieve delirium by turn 3 or 4. Once delirium is active, Winter's end-step ability cheats game-dominating permanents such as Portal to Phyrexia, Archon of Cruelty, and Valgavoth, Terror Eater into play for free. The deck reinforces this plan with redundant reanimation spells including Reanimate, Animate Dead, and Living Death. Opponents face intense resource denial through continuous creature sacrifices and discard effects while this deck draws cards and ramps. A dense suite of flexible removal like Assassin's Trophy and Toxic Deluge keeps opposing strategies in check, allowing large evasive monsters and drain triggers from Gray Merchant of Asphodel and Syr Konrad, the Grim to secure a decisive table elimination by turn 6.
