Deck overview

This Gruul deck is a dragon-tribal strategy with a heavy dice-rolling and enrage subtheme, helmed by Vrondiss, Rage of Ancients. The primary game plan involves deploying Vrondiss early, triggering its enrage ability through self-damage or dice rolls to create a horde of 5/4 Dragon Spirit tokens, then overwhelming opponents with combat damage or sacrifice-based pings. The deck also features multiple infinite-combo lines, including Aggravated Assault with mana-generating dragons like Savage Ventmaw or Klauth, Unrivaled Ancient, and a Blasting Station loop with Vrondiss. A robust suite of big dragons, ETB damage triggers (Warstorm Surge, Dragon Tempest, Impact Tremors), and extra-combat effects provide alternative routes to victory.
