Deck overview

This is a casual Golgari graveyard deck led by Varolz, the Scar-Striped. It fills the graveyard with Buried Alive, Old Stickfingers, self-mill creatures, and selection spells, then uses scavenge to place the power of cards such as Force of Savagery and Yargle, Glutton of Urborg on a trampling creature. Lotleth Troll is the best regular recipient because it has trample and regeneration. The deck has a reasonable mana base and several removal spells, but its engine is slow, its card flow is modest, and its plan is exposed to creature removal and graveyard hate. Large attackers create pressure around turn 6 or 7, yet the deck lacks reliable haste, evasion, extra combats, or a compact alternate win. It can produce impressive single attacks, but it does not consistently convert that advantage into a complete table kill.
