Deck overview

This deck is a classic Mono-Red Dragon Stompy strategy commanded by Lathliss, Dragon Queen. The primary game plan revolves around accelerating mana in the early turns through artifacts and tribal cost reducers like Dragonspeaker Shaman and Dragonlord's Servant. Once 6 mana is available, Lathliss hits the battlefield to act as a force multiplier, turning every subsequent nontoken Dragon into two massive flying bodies. The deck converts aerial board dominance into rapid table kills through enter-the-battlefield burn enablers like Dragon Tempest and Scourge of Valkas, burst damage from Terror of Mount Velus, and exponential token generation from Utvara Hellkite. While the deck produces overwhelming combat damage and possesses efficient damage-based board sweepers to keep opposing creature boards clear, its heavy reliance on high-CMC permanents and limited stack protection leave it vulnerable to well-timed sweepers and targeted removal.
