Deck overview

This Sultai deck is helmed by Teval, the Balanced Scale and focuses on self-mill, graveyard land recursion, and mass reanimation. In the early game, the deck establishes early mana velocity through efficient ramp spells before casting Teval. Once Teval attacks, she mills cards, returns lands directly to the battlefield, and generates 2/2 Zombie Druid tokens whenever cards leave the graveyard. The deck rapidly converts milled cards into raw resource advantage using engines like Life from the Loam, Six, and Ramunap Excavator. By turn 6, the deck transitions into a lethal state by resolving mass reanimation spells like Living Death or Rise of the Dark Realms, or by deploying Lord of Extinction backed by Wonder to grant the entire army flying. Opponents face an evasive clock that closes the table across two combat cycles. While resilient against single-target removal due to extensive graveyard redundancy, the strategy remains vulnerable to dedicated graveyard hate.
