Deck overview

This deck is a monoblue combo-control list led by Orvar, the All-Form. The primary strategy focuses on deploying Orvar alongside low-cost targeting instants, cantrips, and buyback spells to repeatedly duplicate permanents. In the opening turns, the deck sets up mana rocks and casts selection spells to find key combo pieces. Once Orvar enters the battlefield on Turn 4, cheap spells like Twiddle or Whim of Volrath duplicate Islands to ramp mana ahead of curve. The critical win condition centers on resolving Peregrine Drake alongside buyback spells like Whim of Volrath or Mind Games, generating infinite mana and infinite Drake tokens. This mana can be funneled into copying Agent of Treachery to steal all opposing permanents or Scourge of Fleets to wipe all opposing boards. The deck supports this game plan with efficient countermagic, hexproof protection spells that trigger Orvar's duplication ability, and deep card draw engines like Wavebreak Hippocamp and Mulldrifter.
