Deck overview

This deck is a Simic Landfall ramp deck commanded by Aesi, Tyrant of Gyre Strait. The primary strategy focuses on accelerating land drops during the early turns using efficient ramp spells like Nature's Lore, Three Visits, and Growth Spiral. Deploying Aesi on Turn 4 or 5 establishes an engine that grants an extra land drop each turn and converts every land into fresh cards. With a full hand and high mana output, the deck transitions into the midgame by casting powerful payoffs such as Scute Swarm, Rampaging Baloths, and Koma, Cosmos Serpent. These threats generate overwhelming token armies that overrun opposing defenses. The deck supports its game plan with reactive counterspells, defensive bounce spells like Aetherize and Aetherspouts, and one-sided sweepers like Cyclonic Rift. While the deck lacks fast tutors and compact combos, its land-based resource engine provides strong recovery against board wipes.
