Deck overview

This deck is a 5-color spellslinger combo deck centered on the Prepare mechanic and spell-copying engines, piloted by Codie, Ravenous Codex. The primary strategy accelerates early using 2-CMC ramp and pristine 5-color fixing to deploy Displacer Kitten alongside creatures that enter the battlefield prepared. Casting a prepared spell triggers Displacer Kitten to flicker the host creature, which immediately re-enters prepared. With Blazing Firesinger // Seething Song, this loop produces infinite red mana and infinite storm count on Turn 5. The pilot converts this mana by blinking Emeritus of Ideation // Ancestral Recall to draw the library and Emeritus of Conflict // Lightning Bolt to eliminate all opponents on the spot. If the main loop is disrupted, the deck pivots smoothly into large-scale spell doubling with Codie, Ravenous Codex, Thousand-Year Storm, and recurring Paradigm Lesson spells. Efficient low-cost countermagic and protection spells safeguard the critical combo turn.
