Deck overview

A Jeskai artifact-creature deck built around +1/+1 counters, "modified" synergies, and extra-combat pressure, helmed by Optimus Prime, Hero // Optimus Prime, Autobot Leader. The deck generally deploys Optimus via his More Than Meets the Eye cost as the back side Optimus Prime, Autobot Leader for five mana, using his attack trigger to bolster 2, grant trample, and feed the rest of the counter engine. The 99 leans on artifact cost reducers, modular creatures, proliferate, and anthem effects such as Steel Overseer, Cathars' Crusade, and Tempered Steel. The primary kill is a wide or tall modified board crashing through with Akki Battle Squad; Kappa Cannoneer and Lux Artillery provide alternate finishers. The Transformers sub-theme adds utility legends such as Arcee, Sharpshooter, Jetfire, Ingenious Scientist, Prowl, Stoic Strategist, and Ratchet, Field Medic. Optimus's front-face death trigger also returns him to the battlefield converted, making him a resilient midrange threat.
