Deck overview

This deck is an Esper control and top-deck cheat deck helmed by Yennett, Cryptic Sovereign. Its core strategy revolves around stacking the top of the library with odd-mana value game-enders and cheating them into play for free when Yennett attacks. The early game focuses on deploying efficient mana rocks and setup engines like Sensei's Divining Top, Aqueous Form, or Aminatou, the Fateshifter. On Turn 5, Yennett attacks to cast devastating asymmetric threats without paying their costs, including Void Winnower, Toxrill, the Corrosive, Elesh Norn, Grand Cenobite, or Expropriate. These threats decimate opposing boards, choke enemy casting options, and establish sustained attrition. The deck converts this overwhelming board control into a combat win by Turn 8 across three opponent response cycles. While capable of devastating high-end plays, the plan is vulnerable to early commander removal and lacks redundant stack-based protection, requiring careful timing and defensive navigation.
