Commander: Shadow the Hedgehog

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

This is a Rakdos Treasure aristocrats deck that converts combat damage and sacrifice into mana and cards. Shadow the Hedgehog is a value engine, not a combo piece: he draws when haste creatures die and gives split second to any spell cast with artifact mana, which protects your turn. The primary plan is to flood Treasures with Goldspan Dragon, Ancient Copper Dragon, Captain Lannery Storm, Grim Hireling and Pitiless Plunderer, then win with Revel in Riches, Knuckles the Echidna, Mirkwood Bats drain, or a large Torment of Hailfire. Mahadi, Pitiless Plunderer and Magda act as hidden commanders that tutor and accelerate the Treasure engine when Shadow is absent.
