Deck overview

This deck is a quintessential Mardu battlecruiser and cheat-aggro build piloted by Kaalia of the Vast. The primary game plan focuses on deploying Kaalia ahead of curve on Turn 3 or 4 using efficient 2-CMC mana rocks, then granting her haste or attacking immediately to cheat colossal Angels, Demons, and Dragons directly onto the battlefield tapped and attacking. Payoffs like Master of Cruelties offer instant player eliminations, while damage multipliers such as Gisela, Blade of Goldnight and Archfiend of Despair rapidly pressure the remaining table. The deck incorporates robust proactive shields including Grand Abolisher, Flawless Maneuver, and Boros Charm to ensure combat steps resolve safely. While highly explosive, the deck depends heavily on Kaalia connecting in combat and requires careful resource management to avoid emptying its hand of high-CMC payoffs.
