Deck overview

This deck is a Temur spellslinger and land-animation midrange strategy commanded by Iroh, Grand Lotus. The game plan focuses on filling the graveyard with cheap Lesson instants and sorceries through self-mill and natural casting, then deploying Iroh to cast these Lessons from the graveyard for just one generic mana each. Once Iroh is established, the deck chains flashbacked card draw, ramp, and Earthbend spells to generate massive mana and card advantages. Payoff creatures such as Toph, Hardheaded Teacher, Balmor, Battlemage Captain, and Rampaging Baloths translate these cheap spell chains into a lethal army of pumped creatures, 4/4 Beast tokens, and hasty animated lands. The deck utilizes protective Lessons and countermagic to safeguard key turns, closing out the game through overwhelming combat damage across one or two decisive attack phases.
