Commander: Thranduil, the Elvenking

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Sultai elfball deck built to exploit Thranduil, the Elvenking's ability to inherit activated abilities from Elves in the graveyard. It uses tutors and mill to put key legendary Elves like Lathril, Ezuri, and Jarad into the graveyard, then either wins with a wide board of Elves pumped by Coat of Arms or Ezuri's overrun, or drains opponents with Lathril's tap ability once a critical mass of Elves exists. The commander also acts as a draw engine when other legendary Elves enter, so the deck packs many legendary Elf payoffs and token generators. A secondary plan uses Prime Speaker Vannifar and other tutors to chain into toolbox Elves.
