Smaug the Magnificent by lschurrer

Format: Commander

Commander: Smaug the Magnificent

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

This is a mono-red Treasure/Dragon deck built around Smaug the Magnificent, using a critical mass of Treasure tokens to fuel Smaug's attack-trigger burn and huge mana spells. The plan is to develop tokens early, multiply them with Xorn, Academy Manufactor, and Goldspan Dragon, then either chain extra combat steps to re-fire Smaug's direct damage, or pivot to an alternate win via Hellkite Tyrant. Magda, Brazen Outlaw acts as a hidden commander, tutoring Dragons and artifacts directly onto the battlefield. The deck also has a clean infinite-combat line in Aggravated Assault + Sword of Feast and Famine, and a pair of X-spell finishers, Comet Storm and Jaya's Immolating Inferno, for when combat is awkward.
