Format: Commander

Commander: Kudo, King Among Bears

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Kudo's static ability turns every creature on your side into a 2/2 Bear, making mana dorks, 1/1 tokens, and small utility creatures into relevant attackers. The primary route is a GW token-and-counter swarm: Kudo is cast on turn 2, then Felidar Retreat, Avenger of Zendikar, and counter engines widen the board, while Craterhoof Behemoth or Finale of Devastation provides the alpha strike. Ayula, Queen Among Bears is the hidden commander: with Kudo and Basking Broodscale, each Eldrazi Spawn is a Bear, so Ayula's trigger puts counters on Broodscale, which makes another Spawn, creating an arbitrarily large army. Beorn, the Fierce acts as a second lord once Kudo is active.
