Sauroni & a Bowl of Testosteroni by user9679776

Format: Commander

Commander: Sauron, the Dark Lord

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

Sauron, the Dark Lord drives a Grixis amass control deck that builds one large Orc Army and wins through combat. Sauron grows the Army whenever opponents cast spells, then rewards Army combat damage with Ring tempt triggers that let you discard your hand to draw four. The deck supports this with amass payoffs like Saruman, the White Hand and Mauhur that scale counters, treasure dragons that fund big plays, and board wipes that pair with Fall of Cair Andros to create a massive Army. Saruman acts as a hidden commander, providing amass on every noncreature spell and ward. Secondary paths include reanimator and treasure-fueled dragon beats.
