Deck overview

This deck is a Jeskai spellslinger midrange strategy led by Shiko and Narset, Unified. It leverages the flurry mechanic, which rewards casting exactly two spells each turn. The deck pairs low-cost cantrips, burn, and bounce spells with token producers such as Monastery Mentor, Third Path Iconoclast, and Aligned Heart. Early turns establish mana velocity with two-mana rocks and card advantage engines like Whirlwind of Thought and Rhystic Study. Once the commander enters the battlefield on turn 4, every second spell either duplicates a targeted removal spell or draws a card to maintain fuel. The deck steadily builds an army of prowess and flying tokens, turning low-cost spells into substantial combat damage. It protects this board state with efficient countermagic and spot removal while deploying sweeping resets like Cyclonic Rift and Farewell to clear opposing defenses before closing the game through coordinated combat over several turns.
