Deck overview

This deck is an artifact engine combo list commanded by Emry, Lurker of the Loch. It leverages zero-mana artifacts such as Mishra's Bauble, Memnite, and Ornithopter to deploy Emry on Turn 1 or 2 via affinity while stocking the graveyard with self-mill. The deck's primary victory route pairs Emry with an untap creature—primarily Mirran Spy or Chakram Retriever—and a repeatable zero-mana artifact to generate infinite cast, ETB, and death triggers. These loops mill all opponents instantly with Grinding Station, Altar of the Brood, or a lethal storm count on Brain Freeze. When combo lines are contested, the list pivots into a resilient artifact value engine, deploying wide Thopter swarms with Sai, Master Thopterist, drawing through the library with Mystic Forge and Skullclamp, or applying heavy combat pressure with a massive Kappa Cannoneer and Wurmcoil Engine. Solid protection from Spellskite, Defense Grid, and targeted countermagic safeguards the game-winning turn.
