Deck overview

This deck is a Jund -1/-1 counter attrition and control strategy commanded by The Reaper, King No More. The primary game plan revolves around systematically placing -1/-1 counters on opposing boards using wither, blight, and mass distribution engines such as Carnifex Demon, Soul Snuffers, and Archfiend of Ifnir. These counters neuter opposing combat threats and trigger powerful value engines, including Generous Patron for card draw and Hapatra, Vizier of Poisons for deathtouch Snake tokens. Once creatures die under the weight of these counters, The Reaper, King No More and Necroskitter reanimate them under your control, turning opposing threats into your own army. Kulrath Knight establishes a devastating soft-lock by preventing any creature with counters from attacking or blocking. While the deck lacks fast combo finishes and instant-speed protective spells, its deep functional redundancy, potent spot removal, and grinding card advantage allow it to dismantle creature-centric tables and overwhelm opponents in the late game.
