Deck overview

This mono-black deck is piloted by Fain, the Broker, serving as a versatile resource converter that trades creatures, counters, and artifacts into board presence and mana acceleration. The deck's primary win condition is an infinite aristocrat drain loop combining Warren Soultrader, Gravecrawler, and Blood Artist, seamlessly assembled via Buried Alive and efficient reanimation spells such as Victimize and Living Death. In the mid-game, the deck grinds card advantage using token generators like Jadar, Ghoulcaller of Nephalia paired with Skullclamp, while using removal and board wipes like Deluge of Doom to keep opposing boards in check. When combo pieces are contested, high-impact alternate threats such as Valgavoth, Terror Eater, Syr Konrad, the Grim, and transforming Westvale Abbey into Ormendahl, Profane Prince provide resilient, independent paths to victory.
