Deck overview

Building around Army tokens and the Ring, this Grixis deck turns one huge Army into a combat kill. Sauron, the Dark Lord is the primary draw engine and midgame trump: his ring-trigger draw-four refuels the hand, while amass effects from every angle grow the Army. The main plan is to establish an Army early, multiply it with Saruman, the White Hand, then finish with Assault on Osgiliath's double strike and haste. Secondary paths include Nazgul/Ring-bearer Wraith beats, reanimation through Sauron, Lord of the Rings and Along the Crooked Way, and one-turn steals via In the Darkness Bind Them. There is no hidden commander; Saruman is a powerful lieutenant rather than a second commander.
