Deck overview

This Kaalia of the Vast deck is an aggressive Mardu deck designed to cheat expensive, game-ending Angels, Demons, and Dragons onto the battlefield on Turn 4. The mana curve prioritizes early fixing and haste equipment to accelerate Kaalia's attack trigger as quickly as possible. Once attacking, Kaalia cheats disruptive stax pieces like Linvala, Keeper of Silence and Angelic Arbiter, or lethal combat threats like Master of Cruelties, Archfiend of Despair, and Utvara Hellkite. The deck protects its commander using premier free spells like Deflecting Swat and Flawless Maneuver, alongside Grand Abolisher and Teferi's Protection. While the deck is reliant on Kaalia for rapid mana cheating, standalone midrange bombs and efficient reanimation ensure strong resilience against spot removal.
