Deck overview

This deck is a mono-black aristocrats and resource-denial engine commanded by Shirei, Shizo's Caretaker. The strategy revolves around assembling Shirei alongside a free sacrifice outlet and low-power utility creatures with potent enter-the-battlefield or death triggers. Because Shirei triggers at the beginning of each player's end step, sacrificing creatures on every turn quadruples their output per table rotation. Looping cards like Burglar Rat and Virus Beetle strips opponents of their entire hands within one to two turn cycles, while Abyssal Gatekeeper and Bone Shredder systematically dismantle opposing creature boards. Mana generation from Ashnod's Altar and card flow from Dusk Legion Zealot provide deep velocity. Once the table is locked in topdeck mode, the deck closes the game using drain activations from Tinybones, Trinket Thief, wide Zombie swarms generated by Waste Not, or lethal combat damage from a rapidly growing Carrion Feeder.
